Cable TV System Technician

Work locations will be in N. County area (N. Escondido, E. Vista, Rancho Santa Fe)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
*Working knowledge of HFC network as it relates to outside plant maintenance.
*Able to troubleshoot and repair both forward and return network components (network amplifiers and optical nodes) in the common and distribution portions of the broadband network.
*Performs RF signal leakage detection on network ingress and/or egress and troubleshooting adversely affecting network performance, and performs repairs.
*Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and completes performance testing of network power supplies and associated powering systems.
*Performs troubleshooting and repair of field elements/components.
*Works with Customer Care and Technical Operations groups to detect and resolve outside plant signal outages.
*Able to install and troubleshoot digital video and high speed data.
*Prepares and submits required technical field documentation.
*Participates in on-call rotation schedule.
*Consistently establishes and maintains safe work zone in all work-related situations.
*Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience/Education: High school diploma and 3-5 years of cable/telecommunication experience.
Work locations will be in N. County area (N. Escondido, E. Vista, Rancho Santa Fe). Company vehicle will be provided. Benefits (Health, Dental, Vacation) available.
